Abstract:
To reduce wear by hardening the molding surface of a design die by quenching in the metal die which is used for a mortar dehydration molding press machine.
This metal die A is used for the mortar dehydration molding press machine, and the molding surface 6 of an upper die 1 (design die) is hardened by quenching. When a ratio between the width dimension and the length dimension of the upper die 1 (design die) is large, split dies 1a to 1c are formed by splitting the upper die 1 so that the ratio may become not more than 1:1.3, and after quenching the split dies 1a to 1c, the split dies 1a to 1c are assembled.
