PURPOSE: To reduce the size of a titled device and to facilitate the operation thereof by forming the pot itself to a duct shape and enabling the adjustment of the film thickness of a molten metal sticking to a sheet by means of linear motors at the time of passing the sheet through the pot contg. the molten metal and plating the sheet.
CONSTITUTION: The plate 1 is passed through the duct-shaped pot 8 contg. the molten metal for plating filled therein and is thereby plated. A duct 6 for supplying the molten metal and a duct 7 for discharging the molten metal are provided to this pot 8 and are connected via a molten metal tank 22. Filters 21 are provided to the ducts 6, 7. An inlet side aperture 2 and outlet side aperture 3 for the sheet 1 are provided respectively below and above the pot 8. The linear motors 4 are disposed to said aperture 2 to prevent the outflow of the molten metal. Means 5 for adjusting the film thickness of the plating are disposed in the aperture 3. The above-mentioned port 8 is disposed in series in the passing direction of the sheet 1.
