Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal nickel powder exhibiting excellent sintering behav ior in the process of producing a laminated ceramic capacitor and furthermore, capable of preventing the generation of a delamination by the exhibition of excellent dispersibility at the time of forming an electrically conductive paste.
SOLUTION: The content of oxygen in the metal nickel powder produced by bringing a gaseous nickel chloride into contact with a reducing gas in a reducing reaction temp. range is 0.1 to 2.0 wt.%, and, moreover, this metal nickel powder does not have an absorption peak in 3,600 to 3,700 cm-1 wave number in an infrared absorption spectrum.
