PURPOSE: To provide a metal-plated roll which is constituted to form a metal- plated layer directly by electric plating without forming an induction treatment layer.
CONSTITUTION: An adhesive filling groove 32 is formed in the outer peripheral surface of the press-in part 30 of a flange member 3 made of iron and a clearance groove 33 is peripherally formed in the base end part of a flange part 31 on the press-in part 30 side. In a state that the press-in part 30 of the flange part 3 is pressed in the inner peripheral surface of the end part of a cylindrical body 2 made of CFRP through an adhesive 5, an adhesive filling groove 32 is filled with an adhesive 5 to ensure an adhesion strength between a flange member 3 and a cylindrical body 2. A surplus adhesive 5 is escaped in the clearance groove 33 and positioned in the clearance groove 33 without buffering the edge of the inner periphery of the cylindrical body 2. This way effects direct contact between the end face 21 of the cylindrical body 2 and the flange part 31 not through the adhesive 5, ensures conductivity between the cylindrical body 2 and the flange member 3, and forms a metal-plated layer 4, consisting of an iron plating layer 41 and a rigid chrome plating layer 42, an the surface thereof.
