PURPOSE: To improve corrosive resistance, chemical resistance and weathering resistance and provide higher adaptability for use in a chemical reaction apparatus and a member thereof and a construction component by integrating a metal surface material having a resin covering layer and a metal body material by means of explosive adhering.
CONSTITUTION: A surface material is obtained by joining a film comprising a fluorine- containing type resin as the resin layer thereof with a face of a metal sheet of aluminum type or the like having a thickness of 0.5 to 20mm according to a method for melt adhesion under heating or the like. On the other hand, a metal sheet having a thickness of 2mm or more is prepared as a metal body material to be laminated with the surface material. The so prepared surface material and body material are integrated by means of explosive cladding. The resin covered laminate prepared according to this method has the outermost layer whose one of the faces is strongly joined with the chemically very safe, pinhole-free fluorine-containing resin layer, superior in chemical resistance, corrosive resistance, solvent resistance, heat resistance, weather resistance and stain resistance. Furthermore, materials in a reasonable price range and having a high strength can be selected as the body material, enabling the present invention to find its application in a wide variety of uses.
