Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an artificial corpus vertebrae which covers treatments of corpus vertebrae of all descriptions with a limited number and will not crack during the handling and the use thereof.
CONSTITUTION: A metallic artificial corpus vertebrae 1 which is arranged at a part from which a corpus vertebrae 7 having a lesion is removed and connects adjacent sound corpuses vertebrae 8 and 8 is made up of a cylindrical outer vertebral tube 2 and a cylindrical inner vertebral tube 3 inserted into the outer vertebral tube 2 with a varied axial length thereof. Openings 2f and 3f for filling an adhesive communicating with the inside of the tubes are formed on the side walls of the outer and inner vertebral tubes 2 and 3.
