PURPOSE: To provide a metallic container which is light in wt. and is excellent in heat radiation and corrosion resistance which may be manufactured in a low cost, as for the container for storing liquid or gas, etc., and its manufacturing method.
CONSTITUTION: The metallic container 1 is formed with a clad material of an aluminum-base material composed of the aluminum or aluminum alloy and a steel base material which is claded in the inside, to a body part 11 and a cover part 12, and the steel-base material in a flange part 13 of the body part and the steel-base material in a flange part 14 of the cover part are welded to fix both parts. This clad material uses a cold-rolled clad material having 2-6mm thickness. Otherwise, this metallic container is joined with both steel materials of the body part 11 and the cover part 12 by a high energy density welding after pressing the cover part 12 into the body part 11. Further, both aluminum-base materials are welded and joined together in-direct or through the other aluminum-base material to enable manufacture of the metallic container.
