To provide a metallic filter having excellent maintainability, capable of preventing the clinging of dust to the through holes thereof and preventing the blocking of the through holes caused by the accumulation of fine dust therein.
The first metallic filter 27a that includes countless through holes 63 for filtering dust each comprising a minute opening is characterized in that the edge 91 of the frontage of each of the through holes 63 is made to have a round shape and the unevenness of the inner face of each of the through holes 63 is smoothed by applying a smoothing posttreatment thereto. Thereby, dust is prevented from clinging to the edges 91 and the blocking of the through holes 63 caused by the accumulation of fine dust in the concave parts disposed on their inner faces is suppressed. Hence, the maintainability characteristics of the metallic filter 27a in the course of cleaning the same can be improved.
