PURPOSE: To provide a metallic frame for centrifugal casting, in which cooling speed of molten metal poured in the metallic frame is made to be high and cooling cycle time is shortened and the productivity is improved and also, the development of pin hole in a cast iron tube can be prevented.
CONSTITUTION: A sleeve 2 is fitted to the outside of the cylindrical metallic frame 1 and a cooling water jacket 3 is arranged between this metallic frame 1 and the sleeve 2. Plural recessed parts 4 are formed on the outer peripheral surface of the metallic frame 1. At the time of producing the casting tube, the molten metal 8 is poured into the inner part while rotating the metallic mold 1 and also, at the time of flowing cooling water 9 into the cooling water jacket 3, the cooling water 9 flowed into the cooling water jacket 3 is abutted on the recessed part 4 and becomes the turbulent condition and is brought into active contact with the metallic frame 1. Further, the contact surface area of the cooling water 9 with the metallic frame 1 is increased by the recessed part 4, and the cooling capacity is improved.
