PURPOSE: To speedily obtain the position of a specific point with high precision by providing a conversion table which contains longitude and latitude values corresponding to coordinates on an image display part and outputs the longitudinal and latitude values corresponding to specified coordinates.

CONSTITUTION: A meteorological image from a meteorological satellite is received by a reception antenna 1 and a reception part 2, stored in an image memory 3, and displayed on an image display part 4. A conversion table part 5 contains the X-axial and Y-axial coordinates of the image display part 4 and the longitude and latitude values corresponding to the coordinates so that they correspond to each other. When the optional specific point is specified on the display image on the image display part 4 by using a mouse, etc., coordinate information on its X axis and Y axis is inputted to the conversion table part 5. The conversion table part 5 performs conversion according to the previously stored table and outputs the obtained longitude and latitude values. The outputs are inputted to the image display part 4, where the longitude and latitude values are displayed.
