Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a perfluoroalkyl group-having alcohol derivative useful as an intermediate for medicines, agrochemicals and the like.
This method for producing the perfluoroalkyl group-having alcohol derivative represented by general formula (5) : RFC(OH)R1R2(representative example: 2,2,2-trifluoro-1-phenylethanol) is characterized by reacting a carbonyl compound represented by general formula (1): R1COR2with a perfluoroalkylsilane represented by general formula (2) : RFSiR3R4R5, an ammonium salt represented by general formula (3) : R6R7R8R9NX and a fluoride represented by general formula (4) : MF in a low polar organic solvent or in a mixture solvent of a low polar organic solvent with water. The method for producing the perfluoroalkyl group-having alcohol derivative, wherein an optically active ammonium salt is preferably used as the ammonium salt.
