Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly bond thermoplastic pipes within a short time.
SOLUTION: Electromagnets 5a-5f are arranged to the peripheral surfaces of the end parts of a pair of thermoplastic pipes 1, 3 of which the bonding surfaces are brought to pressure contact state and arranged in opposed relation to electromagnets 5a-5d so as to be separated from them by a predetermined interval and the polarities of the electromagnets 5a-5d are successively changed to vibrate the end parts of the thermoplastic pipes 1, 3 and the bonding surfaces are rubbed with each other by this vibration and bonded under pressure by friction heat generated at this time.
