Abstract:
In order to prevent signal limitation due to overloading in telephone sets with an electronic speech circuit, without simultaneously restricting the modulation range, signals (AS1, AS2, NGS, NPS) are generated, which characterise the instantaneous line signals (AS1, AS2) and limit values (NGS, NPS) for the modulation limits. By comparison (DN, DP) of the signals (AS1, AS2, NGS, NPS), the gain of the microphone amplifier (SMV) is reduced by means of a control device (SL; OR, D, SG, RZ, CZ) once the modulation limits have been reached.
