PURPOSE: To inspect whether leakage exists in a liquid-crystal panel or no by a method wherein respective resistance values across a transparent conductive film for C/F electrodeposition and a common transparent conductive film as well as across the conductive film and a segment transparent conductive film are measured and the resistance values are compared with a reference value.

CONSTITUTION: A prescribed voltage is applied, for a prescribed time, across a conductive rubber 30 and a common conductive rubber 8 as well as across the rubber 30 and a segment conductive rubber 20, and whether a liquid-crystal display panel is turned on dimmly as a whole is observed. When a contact defect exists, a part which is not turned on is generated, and proper measures are taken. When the part which is not turned on is not generated, a measuring voltage is applied respectively across the rubbers 30 and 8 as well as across the rubbers 30 and 20. The voltage and a current are inputted to a tester, and resistance values across a transparent conductive film for C/F electrodeposition and a common transparent conductive film as well as across the conductive film and a segment transparent conductive film are measured. The tester compares the measured resistance values with a reference value. When the resistance values are judged to be the reference value or higher, it is judged that leakage does not exist, and a display as a good product is performed. When the resistance values are at the reference value or lower, it is judged that leakage exists, and it is specified which of the transparent "().ftconductive films has caused the leakage so as to be displayed.
