Abstract:
PURPOSE:To measure a sectional shape of an object to be measured online and with a high accuracy, by scanning an object being measured widthwise with a pair of displacement sensors to detect a displacement of the surface and back thereof. CONSTITUTION:A pair of optical displacement sensors 1 is arranged on both sides of an object 2 to be measured and driven horizontally at each fixed pitch with a ball screw 3 rotated with a drive motor M. By this scanning a displacement data is obtained corresponding to the shape of the surface and back of the object 2 being measured. The displacement data is amplified with amplifiers 14 and 14 to be converted with an A/D converter 15 into digital from analog and a sectional shape of the object being measured is automatically measured by an arithmetic processing with a data processing section CPU 11 to be shown on a CRT display device. The pair of sensors have a measuring range thereof partially overlapped in the direction Y thereby enabling measurement of deformation such as sag from the intrinsic shape of the object being measured.
