To provide a method and an apparatus for positioning a light emitting device by which the light emitting device can be positioned accurately in a short time.
A contact part 34 is provided in an intermediate stage 32, so that, when an intermediate stage 34 is changed in position by a second driving part 33, the contact part 34 is changed in position together with the intermediate stage. Therefore, the contact part 34 can continue the light emission of a light emitting device 24 placed on the intermediate stage 32 even if the intermediate stage 32 is changed in position. A second control part 36 controls the second control part 33 based on the analysis result of a picture of an light emitting device 24 obtained by a light emission recognition camera 35. As a result, the positioning apparatus 21 for the light emitting device can place the light emitting device 24 placed on the intermediate stage 32 at a predetermined target position accurately in a short time.
