Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method and apparatus for sufficiently producing a tread/ breaker packet within as short a time as possible in the only breaker drum.
CONSTITUTION: In a method and apparatus for producing a tread/breaker packet for a penumatic tire for a vehicle, a rotatable breaker drum 1, a breaker ply supply machine 2 for first and second breaker plies, a winding bandage supply device 3, a tread supply device 4 and a conversion device 5 are provided. Two tread/breaker packet are simultaneously produced by the breaker drum 1 movable in an axial direction of twice width. At this time, the placement of indivisual breaker plies is performed in a first method step and, next, two winding bandages are wound up at the same time and, finally, two treads are placed mutually parallelly or simultaneously.
