A bead-core 82 is made to contact the ply cords C while being moved toward a bead molding part 24, and the end holding member 26 is moved synchronously to displace the ply cords C to the side of the rigid body core 21. At the same time, the press rings 61-65 of a press means 60 are made to contact the ply cords C and, in accordance with its displacement, moved to the side of the outer surface of the rigid body core 21, and tension is applied to the displaced ply cords C. Each movement is linked, the ply cords C are pressed in turn to the outer surface of the rigid body core 21 by the press rings 61-65, and the bead-core 82 is attached to the bead molding part 24.
