Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously recognize a two-dimensional shape and a three- dimensional shape of an object by one apparatus.
SOLUTION: The method for recognizing the object shape comprises the steps of moving the object and a camera along a measuring reference surface in a running direction, imaging a slit light reflected image of a slit light formed on the object by the camera by interlocking to a relative position of the object and the camera, and storing images on the relative positions. The method further comprises the steps of calculating the height of the object from the relationship between the slit light reflected image of each image and the slit light reflected reference image formed on the reference surface to be measured, and processing the three-dimensional image to recognize the height side of the object. The method also comprises the steps of combining the image contents of a pixel row obtained by imaging a central part of the slit light reflected reference image of each image to form the two-dimensional image of the object, and two-dimensional image processing the two-dimensional image to recognize the two-dimensional image of the object.
