Title:
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR RECORDING IMAGE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3910317
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record highly fine and high-quality images even when a spatial optical modulation element of a relatively small number of pixels is utilized and prevent generation of streaks running in a vertical direction in an image- recording apparatus utilizing the two-dimensional spatial optical modulation element.
SOLUTION: An optical system 16, a sub scanning means 18 and a control means 21 are set. The optical system forms images in a state where each of pixels 12 of a two-dimensional spatial optical modulation element 13 constitutes an array of pixels almost in tight contact with each other in one pixel arrangement direction, while a gap is generated between pixels in another pixel arrangement direction. The sub scanning means vertically scans a photosensitive recording medium 17 arranged to an image form position of the optical system 16 in a direction inclined to the pixel array. The control means 21 drives the two-dimensional spatial optical modulation element 13 to record (k) pixels aligning in a horizontal direction nearly orthogonal to the vertical scanning direction by (k) pixel groups (k≥2) each composed of (j) (j≥2) pixels adjacent to each other in one pixel array.
