Abstract:

To provide a method for volume-reducing a plastic waste, having the small number of working steps and an arbitrary length and capable of simply forming a compressed plastic waste.

An apparatus for volume-reducing the plastic waste comprises a hydraulic cylinder 2 for driving a piston 9, a duct 8 for moving the piston 9 therein, and a hopper 12 for filling the plastic waste thrown from a plastic waste reception port 10 formed at the duct 8. A taper 5a which is reduced in a radial size toward a forward is provided on an inner surface of a pipe 5 for constituting the duct 8. The pipe 5 is heated. Thus, the plastic waste can be surely compressed and solidified without disposing a compressor having a movable mechanism on the way of the duct 8.
