Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a waste water processing method and an apparatus using sulfuric bacteria by efficiently and economically removing organic substances, nitrogen and phosphorus to prevent diffusion of sulfides. CONSTITUTION:Organic substances in waste water are oxidized with sulfate reduction bacteria while the substances are heated with a heat exchanger 46 within a sulfate reduction reaction tank 2. Meanwhile, sulfur ion and phosphorus are reduced. The reduced sulfur is denitrized with denitrized sulfur bacteria within a sulfur denitrizing tank 3 for nitrization with nitrizing bacteria within a nitrization tank 5. A remainder is separated for solid and liquid and supernatant liquid is released. Hydrogen sulfide included in the waste gas in the sulfate reduction reaction tank 2 is guided into a sulfur oxidation tank 25 and hydrogen sulfide is oxidized with sulfur oxidation bacteria within the sulfur oxidation tank 25 to produce sulfur while hydrogen sulfide is heated with a steam source 48. A pH value of the liquid within the sulfur oxidation tank 25 is adjusted and thereafter sulfur ion required for sulfate reduction reaction is fed back into the sulfate reduction reaction tank 2.
