METHOD FOR APPLYING CARBURIZATION PREVENTIVE AGENT AND ITS DEVICE

PURPOSE: To automatically and uniformly apply a carburization preventive agent on a crank half shaft without using manual labor by moving a carburization preventive agent applying roller to the middle threaded part and front end threaded part of the crank half shaft while gripping the crank half shaft by means of clamps and rotating the crank half shaft.
CONSTITUTION: Both ends of the crank half shaft 1 isolatedly having the middle threaded part 2 and front end threaded part 3 to be coated with the carburization preventive agent are supported respectively by the clamps 24 and 25 and the crank half shaft 1 is pressurized by means of a knob 6 and spring 7 on the clamp 25 side. A sprocket 8 mounted to the clamp 24 is then rotated by the movement of a chain 9, by which the crank half shaft 1 is rotated around its center as well. The carburization preventive agent-applying roller 11 is rotated via a belt 16 by a motor 15 along the outer periphery of the crank half shaft 1 to apply the carburization preventive agent on its surface from a nozzle 12. The roller 11 is brought into contact with the middle threaded part 2 of the crank half shaft 1 and the roller 11 is thereafter moved to the surface of the front threaded part 3. The carburization preventive agent is automatically applied on the middle threaded part 2 and front end threaded part 3 of the crank half shaft 1.
