Abstract:
To provide a method and arrangement for limiting the speed of a vehicle capable of adapting to the environmental conditions.
In the method for limiting the speed of a vehicle, environmental conditions of the vehicle are determined, and the maximum permissible speed is determined as a function of the determined environmental conditions. The speed of the vehicle is limited to the maximum permissible speed. The vehicle speed limiting arrangement 5 comprises measuring means 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 for determining the vehicle environmental conditions, a means 35 for forming the maximum permissible speed as the function of the determined environmental conditions, and a limiting means 45 for limiting the vehicle speed to the maximum permissible speed.
