Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a casting method of a metal base composite material, by which the damage to a cast product when this product is separated from both molds, and be prevented.
SOLUTION: Cylindrical performs 5 are held in the standing state in a row with a holding means 11 and heated. The performs 5 are laid on a fixed mold 2. Both molds in a casting apparatus are fastened, and then a cavity part is filled with the molten metal and the light alloy is permeated into the performs 5 to cast the metal base composite materials. At this time, the heated performs 5 are disposed to prescribed positions in the casting apparatus 1. Both molds are fastened in the state where the faced surfaces in the respective performs 5 are mutually separated when heated. This metal base composite material constitutes a part of a cylinder block in an internal combustion engine. The respective performs 5 are turned in the range of 30-150° angle.
