Title:
METHOD FOR CHROMIUM PLATING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2989440
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To omit a pre-plating process, improve the plating rate and prevent microcracking in the plating layer by directly executing plating with chromium on iron-base and copper-base metals which are considered not suitable for direct chromium plating under vibrating and stirring conditions.
CONSTITUTION: A process of copper plating and nickel plating on surfaces of iron-base metal, zinc-base metal or electroless copper-plated metal formed on plastics, a process of nickel plating on the surface of copper-base metal, and a process of base plating on the surface of aluminum-base metal can be omitted. Chromium plating is directly applied on surfaces of these metals under stirring and vibrating conditions by a vibrator motor with 15-60Hz frequency.
