Abstract:

PURPOSE: To easily produce a metal-coated inorg. fine powder by adding an inorg. fine powder, a metal acetylacetonate chelate complex and a reducing agent to an org. solvent, heating and refluxing the mixture while agitating the mixture.
CONSTITUTION: The inorg. fine powder of ceramic, cermet, diamond, clay mineral, etc., having 0.01-100μm grain size, the metal acetylacetonate chelate complex of Ni, Fe, Co, Cu, Zn, Cr, Mo, etc., and the hydrides such as sodium borohydride or hydrazines such as hydrazinium sulfate as the reducing agent are added to an org. solvent such as anisole, and the mixture is heated and agitated. The obtained fine powder is filtered off and dried, and an inorg. fine powder with the surface coated with metal such as Ni, Fe, Co, Cu, Zn, Cr and Mo is easily obtained.
