Abstract:

To provide a method for connecting a safety system to a control unit by converting a signal produced from a passive safety system condition recognizing device for an automobile into a shape to be evaluated.

In a method for selectively connecting one selected from among the group of the condition recognizing devices Z11, Z12, Z21 and Z22 and belt clasp condition recognizing and seat occupancy recognizing groups of a passive safety system for an automobile, especially an air bag system to the signal input terminal of a control unit μP by single line connecting parts 2a and 2b, depending on a physical operation basic system, a corresponding current/voltage power supply from the control unit μP is switched, corresponding signals from the condition recognizing devices Z11, Z12, Z21 and Z22 are prepared and connection is made to the control unit μP for evaluating these signals.
