Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable call origination equal with the time of designating only numerals with a telephone terminal (software) capable of designating only an IP address or host name as destination address at the time of call origination.
SOLUTION: When a temporary host name with addition of an alphabet at the head of the dialed number of an incoming side terminal 2 is inputted by an originating side terminal 1, this host name is translated to a temporary IP address previously registered by using DNS and this is transmitted to a gatekeeper 3 together with a call originate signal. In the gatekeeper 3, this temporary IP address is inversely translated to the temporary host name while using DNS, the dialed number is provided by removing the head English letter and afterwards, a call is originated to the incoming side terminal 2 by acquiring the IP address of the incoming side terminal 2 by inquiries to a computer 6 holding a service control function and a computer 7 holding an information providing function.
