Abstract:
According to this method for controlling a power unit, the rotational speed of the first primary shaft is synchronized (P3), then the combustion engine transmission ratio for an output ratio is engaged (P4) and torque is transferred (P5) from the second primary shaft onto the first primary shaft. When the rotational speed of the first primary shaft is synchronized (P3), if the demanded power is too high to be achieved by the main electric machine powered only by the energy storage battery, the secondary electric machine is forced (E14) into a regenerative mode and the electrical power generated by the secondary electric machine is used to supply top-up electrical power to the main electric machine.
