Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely recognize whether an electronic mail is received in network facsimile equipment or not by transmitting a transmission arrival recognition mail responding the effect that the electronic mail is received to the transmission source of the electronic mail when the electronic mail is received from any terminal equipment through a local area network.
SOLUTION: When network facsimile equipment FX receives an electronic mail, it generates a transmission arrival recognition mail and sends it to the mail address of the transmission source of the received electronic mail. Thus, the users of work station devices WS1-WSn transmitting transmission request mails or the like receive the transmission arrival recognition mail showing the effect that the transmission request mail is received, for the network facsimile equipment FX. Therefore, it can be recognized that the transmission request mail which one oneself transmits is securely received by the network facsimile equipment FX.
