Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically control positioning of a nozzle by detecting positional deviation of the nozzle of a welding torch to a groove as physical quantity. SOLUTION: In this device, the coordinate of the centroid of a red heated part where is corresponded to the nozzle is determined, the coordinate of the centroid in the tip part of the red heated part A is taken as the position P2 of the nozzle and, in a region surrounded with a straight line through two coordinates, a pair of parallel straight lines with a fixed distance on both sides of that straight line and the straight line at a prescribed distance from the P2, the straight line through the centroid of the external bead C is determined as an outside weld line L3. The distance (d) between the P2 and the L3 is detected as the amount of positional deviation of the nozzle to the groove on the inner peripheral surface and the positioning of the nozzle is automatically controlled.
