Abstract:
PURPOSE: To increase the cooling efficiency in a stage for cooling sintered ore by adding a specified amount or less of water of a specified particle size or below to air for cooling and by feeding the air contg. water to a cooler.
CONSTITUTION: Water of ≤1,000μm particle size is sprayed into a wind box 8 under a cooler from mist nozzles 20, and the sprayed water is mixed with air for cooling fed from a blower so that H2O is contained by ≤140g per 1Nm3 air. Large quantities of sensible heat of water and latent heat of evaporation are utilized besides the sensible heat of air, so the cooling efficiency is improved.
