PURPOSE: To provide a method for correcting an error in a sentence constituted of natural language by a computer system, and a device suitable for executing this method.
CONSTITUTION: This method is a method for correcting an error in a sentence constituted of natural language by a computer system. This kind of error is detected by a spelling checker 4, and in this case, many displacement words having slightly different spellings are generated by a spelling corrector 10. A sentence obtained after the incorrect word is displaced with the displacement word is paused by a syntax analyzing system, and grammatically corrected as necessary. The exact sentence obtained as a result is displayed on a screen for providing selection to be executed by a user. Moreover, this device is for the application of this method.
