To provide a method for deciding abnormality of shearing of a steel sheet end having power saving at an inspection process in addition to power saving during shearing of a steel sheet end.
When a steel sheet end is sheared by a shearing machine, a distance measuring device to measure a distance to the steel sheet end is disposed in the side position of the steel sheet before shearing. The position of a deepest recessed part in the direction of the thickness of the steel sheet end is measured by the distance measuring device. The position of the measured deep recessed part in the direction of the thickness of the steel sheet end is measured by the distance measuring device and the position of the measured most recessed part is compared with a shearing position by the shearing machine. When the position of the most recessed part is situated on the central part side in the direction of the steel sheet width than the shearing position, it is decided by a method to decide abnormality of shearing of the steel sheet lug that shearing abnormality occurs.
