Abstract:

To automatically deform a three-dimensional shape model only by designating a simple deformation condition.

A user respectively designates movement destination ridge lines 22 showing a deformed ridge line shape as a deformation condition with respect to each ridge line (movement source ridge line) of a FEN model 10 of a deformation object. A mesh nodal point on each ridge line 12 is defined as a constraint point 17, the foot of a perpendicular that drops from each constraint point 17 to the movement destination ridge line 22 is calculated as a movement destination 27 of the constraint point 17. As for a nodal point 16 (non-constraint point) other than the constraint point 17, a movement destination of the nodal point 16 is decided in accordance with the movement of each of the constraint points 17. The FEN model 19 can be deformed in accordance with the deformation condition by moving each of the constraint points and non-constraint points while maintaining a mesh structure.
