PURPOSE: To prevent an unfavorable phenomenon form arising in control based on lateral (g) information due to any cause other than turning, included in a value detected by a lateral (g) sensor, in an active suspension which has a feed forward control system B to find fluid feed/discharge controlled quantities Q4 of a suspension for keeping a vehicle in its desired attitude by assuming a load moving distance in lateral direction in accordance with turning lateral (g) information from the lateral (g) sensor during turning of the vehicle.
CONSTITUTION: A value obtained by dividing a stroke difference between right and left suspensions by a tread is multiplied by a gravitational acceleration G to find out the sine component of the gravitational acceleration, and a value obtained by dividing a right and left vertical (g) difference by a lateral span at a position where a right-and-left vertical (g) sensor is fitted, is multiplied by a body axle vertical span between a roll center and the lateral (g) sensor fitting position so as to find out a roll oscillation component. A value which is obtained by subtracting the sine component of the gravitational acceleration and the roll oscillation component from the lateral (g) detected by a lateral (g) sensor S is used for control.
