Title:
METHOD FOR DETECTING QUANTITY OF REMAINING WATER IN BATHTUB
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3850635
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method by which the quantity-of-heat transfer rate from a heating source to the hot water in a bathtub can be found readily with accuracy, for finding the quantity of remaining water in the bathtub, and in turn, the quantity of remaining water in the bathtub can be detected accurately.
SOLUTION: The temperature of hot water flowing in a heat exchanger 10 for bath is successively detected by means of a temperature sensor 13, while a circulating pump 11 and a gas burner 9 are operated, and the quantity-of-heat transfer rate from the burner 9 to the hot water in the bathtub 1 is successively decided in accordance with the detected temperature. Then the quantity of heat given to the hot water in the bathtub 1 is found at every prescribed unit time, from the quantity-of-heat transfer rate and the quantity of heat generated from the burner 9 and integrated over a prescribed period. Finally, the quantity of remaining water in the bathtub 1 is found, by using the integrated value of the quantity of heat and the amount of temperature rise of the hot water in the bathtub 1 during the prescribed period.
