Abstract:

PURPOSE: To stabilize the quality of corrosion protection film by judging the integrity of corrosion protection film layed on a structure before the use and detecting bad adhesion part for repairing.
CONSTITUTION: Measured surface of polyethylene film layer 9 layed on a carbon steel plate 8 is locally pressed with a pencil with a specified pressure to deform. Laser light output from a speckle interferometry 1 is emitted on the measured surface and the reflection light of the laser reflected at the measured surface is received by the speckle interferometry 1. Then, based on the signal of speckle interference fringes generated after the deformation on the measured surface and output by the speckle interferometry 1, the speckle interference fringes are displayed on the screen of a TV monitor 4 and from the number of the speckle interference fringes displayed on the screen, bad adhesion of the corrosion protection film is non-destructively evaluated.
