Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent uneven ignition in a firing furnace of a DL type sintering machine and to enhance the quality of sintered ore by feeding gas for regulating the internal press. of the furnace into the furnace apart from combustion air to control the internal press.

CONSTITUTION: Firing furnace 3 of Dwight-Lloyd type sintering machine 1 is provided with gas blow pipe 5 for regulating the internal press. of furnace 3 and press. gauge 9 apart from firing burner 6. Pipe 5 is connected to cooler 16 and/or blast boxes 12 to introduced hot exhaust gas from machine 1. Gauge 9 is connected to controller 13 to control the internal press. of furnace 3 pref. to the range of -3W 0mm H2O. Thus, uneven ignition in furnace 3 is prevented, and the quality of sintered ore is enhanced. In addn., the effect of reducing the fuel gas unit of furnace 3 can be anticipated.
