Abstract:
PURPOSE: To utilize an error correction ability which a code has maximally by making that an error exists in a (p) word whose error position is known, detecting the error of a (q) word except the (p) word and correcting the errors of the (p) word and the (q) word.
CONSTITUTION: When the number of F0 flag is 4 or below, the word to which a flag is added is regarded as an error word and the error of 4-word or below is corrected. When the number of F0 flag is 5 or above and the number of F1 flag is 3 or below, 2-word to which the F1 flag is added is regarded as the error and the error position of 1 word is detected. When the detected error position coincides with the position of the flag or no error, the error of 3-word or below is corrected. When the number of F0 flag is 5 or above and the number of F1 flag is 4 or above, the error position till 2-word is detected, and when the F1 flag is added to the detected error position, the error of 2-word or below is corrected. In such a case, by judging further minutely according to the state of an F2 flag, the error correction ability is increased.
