Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the method and device for a high precision linear stepping motor position detection.
SOLUTION: With the use of an oscillator 21, the reference clock for detecting the position of a linear stepping motor is generated, and the reference clock is counted with a counter 22. Then, with the user of ROMs 23a and 23b with built-in side and cosine function tables, digital values 24a and 24b sinωt and cosωt are generated according to the output of the counter, and the generated digital values 24a and 24b are converted into analog signal. Then, based on the sinωt and cosωt analog signal and sinθ and cosθ from linear scale, sinωt.cosθ and cosωt.sinθ are generated, and then from these signals, modulation signal sin (ωt+θ) is generated. The signal sin (ωt+θ) is shaped into a rectangular signal, and the phase difference the rectangular signal and sine wave signal sinωt is detected to detect the position of the linear stepping motor.
