Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide flat surface posture estimating method and device which estimates a posture even when there is graphics consisting of complicated curves on a flat surface and is used in a wide range. SOLUTION: A graphic shape extracting means 1 extracts information that represents a graphic shape that represents a posture on a flat surface from an input image from an ocellated camera in parameter space, sends it to a posture searching means 2. The means 2 has a parameter evaluation result storage table and sends combinations of parameters and extraction information to a projective transforming means 3. The means 3 performs projective transformation of the information representing a graphic shape by using parameters that express a flat surface posture. The means 2 receives information of the graphic shape and sends it to a graphic shape evaluating means 4. The means 4 evaluates the possibility that the graphic shape will appear, the means 2 writes an acquired evaluation result to the parameter evaluation result storage table and outputs the combination which has the highest evaluation when evaluations of all the combinations are completed.
