PURPOSE: To grind inner surfaces of the hollow of a work to be processed continuously in a short time by holding the work on a shaft, immersing it under free grinding material in a grinding trough, and agitating this free grinding material with a rotary resistant body to cause fluidification and flow.
CONSTITUTION: A rotary shaft 4 is rotated intermittently so that holding shafts 8 for respective works stop at six stations AWF, wherein a holding shaft 8 rises when it has come to the fitting/removing station A, and then a work with a hollow is set at the holding part 7 at the bottom. Thereafter the holding shaft 8 is lowered, is immersed under a free grinding material in a grinding trough 1, and stops at the grinding station B. At this time, a rotary resistant body 14 is lowered inserted in the hollow of the work, while rotated to agitate the free grinding material in the hollow to cause fluidification and flow, so that the inner face of the hollow is barrel ground by collision of the free grinding material. The process is continued till the grinding station E in the same manner to undergo posttreatment at the posttreatment station F.
