METHOD AND DEVICE FOR IDENTIFYING TIME SEQUENTIAL DATA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely identify time sequential data based on a decision theory and time sequential data based on a stochastic process like a noise.
SOLUTION: Any arbitrary data vector of time sequential data embedded in an n-dimensional state space is provided by a data vector Xi detecting means 1. Directions Ti and Tj of a tangent corresponding to the orbit (trajectory) of a data vector Xj in the space near the data vector Xi provided by this detecting means 1 are provided by a tangential direction detecting means. A discriminating means 3 discriminates whether the tangential directions provided by this tangential direction detecting means 2 are almost equal or not. When these directions are equal as a result of this discrimination, a separate identifying means 4 identifies the time sequential data based on the ideal decision theory and when these directions are not equal, the means 4 identifies the time sequential data, in which the tangential directions are made random by applying any abnormality, namely, impressing random noises to the system, based on the stochastic process.
