Abstract:

To provide a highly accurate and high-speed method for manufacturing a display device without air bubble generation, adhesive mis-spreading and visual unevenness by solving problems related to tact time restriction and defective phenomena of the air bubble generation, the adhesive mis-spreading and the visual unevenness in sticking a film to a display panel, and a device therefor.

A polarizing plate P is stuck to a principal surface of a liquid crystal cell C by holding the polarizing plate P with suction stages PS1, PS2 at two points, positioning the polarizing plate P in the vicinity of the principal surface of the liquid crystal cell C in parallel thereto, subsequently bringing a part of the polarizing plate P into contact with the principal surface of the liquid crystal cell C by pressing, subsequently pressing the polarizing plate P to the principal surface of the liquid crystal cell C from a part thereof along a first direction of the principal surface of the liquid crystal cell C toward one edge of the principal surface of the liquid crystal cell C, and subsequently pressing the polarizing plate P to the principal surface of the liquid crystal cell C along the first direction toward the other edge of the principal surface of the liquid crystal cell C.
