Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly mass-productive method and device for manufacturing a thin film solar cell that can manufacture a thin film solar cell having low connection resistance at a connection hole or a collector hole as well as favorable thin film solar cell characteristics.
SOLUTION: In this manufacture of a thin film solar cell, a through hole running through an insulating flexible substrate 1a and connecting an electrode constituting a thin film solar cell formed on one surface of the substrate and a rear-surface electrode provided on the other surface of the substrate on the inner wall surface of the through hole is formed by a punch P1 moving in the direction V1 vertical to a die D1 and the die surface. The end of the punch P1 is made a knife-edge Ne having a shape of a plan view of the through hole. This knife-edge Ne is pressed against the substrate 1a on the die in the vertical direction to cut out the through hole shape part from the substrate without misaligning the knife-edge Ne and the die D1.
