Abstract:
When the clotting time of a blood specimen (31) is measured, a sample-reagent mixture (32) is formed by introducing the sample and at least one reagent into a cuvette (1). In order to reduce the labour and material required, the sample-reagent mixture in the cuvette (1) is moved in such a way that the mixture flows back and forth around a sharp edge (3) projecting into the cuvette, which causes a clot (33) to form on this edge.
