To provide a method and a device for phase correction, which transfer large amount of serial data signals in a comparatively short time and satisfactorily suppresses jitter influences.
In a communication control system used for infrared communications in IrDA FIR mode, received serial data signals are sampled in synchronization with a sampling timing. When a target pulse signal which is detected by sampling is detected at the bisection point between two pulse start timings based on the timing of detecting the previouse reference pulse signal, the pulse interval between the target pulse signal and the previous pulse signal. In addition, when the pulse interval is shorter than a first reference interval, it is determined that the target pulse signal is one at the previous pulse start timing, but on the other hand when the pulse interval is longer than a second reference interval, it is determined that the target pulse signal is one at the next pulse start timing.
