Abstract:
PURPOSE: To exactly input a Chinese character (KANJI) phrase at a high speed by displaying plural KANJI groups when there are plural narrowed KANJI candidates and selecting any desired KANJI out of the displayed KANJI groups.
CONSTITUTION: A KANJI information storage part 11 is provided with a correspondence table 11 a in which KANJI components are made correspondent to prescribed English letters. Besides, an input part 12 inputs any English letter. Then, a control part 13 narrows down the candidates of KANJI having the KANJI component corresponding to the English letter inputted by the input part 12 while utilizing the correspondence table 11 a in the KANJI information storage part 11, and when there is a single narrowed KANJI candidate, that KANJI is processed as a desired KANJI. When there are plural narrowed KANJI candidates, plural KANJI groups are displayed on a display part 20 and the desired KANJI is selected out of the displayed KANJI groups. In this case, the KANJI component means a conception including the radical or stroke (such as points or lines consisting of KANJI) of KANJI.
